Dewey has found himself in a crunch. While his parents are away, he’s promised to manage his family’s bicycle repair shop—which happens to be the same week gas pumps run dry and everyone needs repairs to their bikes! When will gas be available again? What happens to this close-knit town as the crunch gets harder and harder to bear? Can Dewey manage to keep up with the shop and help take care of his family?
Each day Dewey and his siblings feel their parents’ absence more and more. The bike shop is busier than ever, and just when Dewey feels like he can’t be “crunched” any harder, bike parts are missing from the shop! He’s sure he knows who is responsible – or does he?
